Migratory Birds Birdlife International Birdlife international, along with the cms secretariat, has prepared this situation analysis to provide caf stakeholders with key information to align flyway scale actions to conserve its. Birdlife international has unveiled its marine flyways – the six major routes that migratory seabirds regularly use to travel between their breeding and non breeding areas. In this study, we compiled a comprehensive dataset of 199 migratory waterbird species, mapped seasonal distribution, and identified population trends and threats along the east asian–australasian flyway and central asian flyway. Data obtained from various migratory bird surveys and programs are used to produce reports and publications, guidance documents, management and conservation plans, and hunting regulations all of which are necessary to conserve and manage migratory birds.
