Microcredential Framework Evaluating Digital Badges With Rubrics I have now created two additional templates for my framework, both in rubric form. the first rubric evaluates a single microcredential or digital badge offering. This rubric provides a structured, criteria based framework for reviewing proposals submitted to the microcredential review board (mrb). it aims to uphold institutional standards while offering flexible guidance across various learning experiences—academic, co curricular, and non credit alike.

This resource evaluates the quality of microcredential proposals at higher education institutions. it provides a structured rubric to assess alignment with learning outcomes, assessment strategies, external relevance, and stackability. When criteria have been met, completion of microcredentials is acknowledged with digital badges that can be immediately shared by learners on resumes, portfolios, and social media.
