First, there is a 20 minute yoga sequence, also by lynn rossy, which is less challenging. if that's still too difficult, two gentle but powerful alternatives are 10 minute mindful movement (bonnie di bernardo of the ywca) and ten mindful movements (plum village and thich nhat hahn).

Mbsr Yoga Routine Gena Bean Mbsr Classroom Tapes These programs constitute the core practice curriculum of mindfulness based stress reduction (mbsr) in the stress reduction clinic. they are meant to be used in conjunction with dr. kabat zinn’s book, full catastrophe living: using the wisdom of your body and mind to face stress, pain and illness. These are the guided meditations and mindful hatha yoga practices that constitute the formal practice curriculum of mbsr: the body scan meditation; mindful yoga 1; sitting meditation; and mindful yoga 2. During the 8 week mbsr program, we first practice mindful body awareness daily with the body scan meditation. then we continue mindful body awareness with the movements of yoga 1 & yoga 2.
