Marble Sorting Project Fications reflection the national recreation park association wants a device that sorts recycled material, and as a prototype we created a machine that sorts marbles.we used this to be an example of what the recycled machin. We spent the next two weeks or so constructing the marble sorter. while there were a few changes, such as the removal of the magnet, the design stayed largely the same. I built this marble sorting machine from the vex edr platform guided by the vex edr cortex microcontroller computer. the criteria for this project is for the machine to automatically separate three different colors of three marbles made of different materials (wood, clear acrylic, and steel). The objective of the pltw marble sorter project was to apply poe engineering concepts to design and build an efficient vex marble sorter.

The design problem we are aiming to address in this project is to build a machine, using a vex robotics kit, that can autonomously sort several marbles of different materials (each representing a recyclable material) into their own separate designated bins. We do have primary goals that we absolutely want to meet, such as the machine being able to sort 4 colors, the machine including a tactile switch, including a wiring diagram, a solidworks assembly and bill of materials, and then finally a promotional video with voice over.
