To disentangle and disambiguate meanings within innovation, we offer a framework that captures and simplifies foundational substance within innovation concepts. In this research, we present a model of innovative healthcare solutions as an interactive outcome of high involvement work systems and technologically mediated relational coordination. The book highlights how to maximize the benefits of innovation for organizations and integrated care systems while acknowledging that the process of innovation within healthcare organizations can be complex and needs to be well orchestrated to enable innovation to spread and sustain. We analyse barriers and promoters of innovations, in particular meta stability, costs, innovative ability and leadership and apply the framework to three innovations: personalized medicine, digital health, and implants.
