Making New Work Creative Pinellas Bliss and i are working with robert moses in january on our new duet by choreographer robert moses. we are excited to perform that in st. petersburg on beacon24 at the palladium in april 2024. and i am currently choreographing a new work with nine dancers, and the working title is upwelling. Creative pinellas fosters and sustains a vibrant, inclusive and collaborative arts community across pinellas county by providing support, connection and opportunities to artists, organizations and the public in order to grow the area as an internationally recognized arts and cultural destination.

We are reimagining how our work can best support economic well being and community well being, and have a few new initiatives in the development stages for both of these focus areas…. I’m going to austin in january to make a new piece on dancers at the university of texas. i’ve been commissioned to make a new work that will be part of a performance celebrating the career of my first modern dance teacher and mentor, yacov sharir. They will have several months to create new work culminating in an exhibition at the gallery at creative pinellas tentatively set for spring 2024 as well as a virtual gallery exhibit. In the wake of hurricane helene, the umbrella arts organization creative pinellas made an offer to artists: come to our offices on walsingham road, we’ve got electricity and wifi, and it’s all free – a co working space for any creative types, or arts organization personnel, that might just need one.
