This is my first time playing this game (i've had to take a break from medieval 2 because of the outdated graphics which just don't get better enough for me no matter what i do) and i am quite pleased with what i'm seeing on the screen as well as the fps count with all settings at ultra. Mostly using ambient light (from the now legacy effects) and correct the color and contrast a little to make it look more realistic. the game looks fine on its own already and therefore it doesn't need much work.
