Main Condenser Steam Condenser Description Nuclear Power
Main Condenser Steam Condenser Description Nuclear Power The main steam condenser (mc) system is designed to condense and deaerate the exhaust steam from the main turbine and provide a heat sink for the turbine bypass system. the exhausted steam from the lp turbines is condensed by passing over tubes containing water from the cooling system. The condensed steam, referred to as condensate, passes out of the main condenser and is pumped back to the reactor or sg. because most nuclear plants are fitted w'ith at least two lp turbines, there would be one main condenser, as illustrated in figure 6.2, under each lp turbine.
Types Of Steam Condensers Examples Nuclear Power The main condenser functions as the steam cycle heat sink, receiving and condensing exhaust steam from the main turbine and the turbine bypass system. the main condenser serves no safety related function and therefore has no nuclear safety design basis. Main condenser steam condenser. the main steam condenser (mc) system is designed to condense and deaerate the exhaust steam from the main turbine and provide a heat sink for the turbine bypass system. This paper presents exergy analysis of the main steam condenser, which operates in nuclear power plant. the analysis is performed in four main condenser operating regimes (loads). Steam condensers are devices in which the exhaust steam from the steam turbine is condensed by means of cooling water. condensation can be done by removing heat from exhaust steam using circulating cooling water.

Steam condensers are devices in which the exhaust steam from the steam turbine is condensed by means of cooling water. condensation can be done by removing heat from exhaust steam using circulating cooling water. There is usually one condenser for each low pressure turbine. the condenser has thousands of small tubes, that are made out of admiralty metal, copper, stainless steel, or titanium. The steam cycle is a critical process in a nuclear power plant, where water is heated to produce steam, which drives the turbine to generate electricity. the condensate system plays a vital role in this cycle by condensing the exhaust steam and returning it to the steam generator. Thus, the main purposes of the condenser are to condense the exhaust steam from the turbine for reuse in the cycle and to maximize turbine efficiency by maintaining proper vacuum. A surface condenser is a water cooled shell and tube heat exchanger installed to condense exhaust steam from a steam turbine in thermal power stations. [1][2][3] these condensers are heat exchangers which convert steam from its gaseous to its liquid state at a pressure below atmospheric pressure.
