Magic (1978) is a film that i first saw on tv when i was a kid in the single digits, and it absolutely terrified me. i had seen the tv spots on the tube and the image creepy dummy and screechy voice scared me real bad. it was a great little ad campaign and it definitely got right under my skin.

Mcbastard S Mausoleum Magic 1978 Second Sight Films Blu Ray Review Whilst a lot of the contemporaneous critical reaction towards magic was fairly muted (likely fed by snobbery at the sheer thought that such industry luminaries might want to be associated with anything that might be termed a horror movie), it’s a film that stands up very well.
