Facilitate and coordinate international collaboration in data exchange and research and development on the utilisation of genomic information related to beef cattle breeding. Interbeef is guided by a steering committee appointed by the board of icar as well as a technical committee that includes a geographical and technical spread of enthusiastic supporters. a scientific advisory committee has also been established to give advice on specific technical issues. In 2006 the icar interbeef working group was established to provide a forum for members of icar to collaborate, exchange information and learn from each other on all aspects of recording and genetic evaluation of beef breeds and traits of relevance to beef production.
