For this edition of milan design week lexus chose the theme of ‘anticipation’. they called upon studio formafantasma, one of our personal favorites, to bring this concept to life.

Embracing the japanese stalwart's theme of ‘anticipation’, the italians created ‘an encounter with anticipation’ – three site specific installations that merge lexus’ futuristic vision with their poetic elegance. Her concept driven approach is aimed to envision crafted design experiences, creating outstanding visuals with forward thinking applications of materials and finishes. Formafantasma interprets lexus design, craftsmanship, and technology for the new installation at milan design week 2016. taking transparency as the concept for its space and installation design, formafantasma conveys the aesthetics behind lexus’ forward looking vision through subtle nuances of color, light, and form. “lexus – an encounter with anticipation” will be hosted during the world’s largest design exhibition at the spazio lexus – torneria from april 12 to 17, with a media preview on april 11.
