Inquiry Based Place Based Learning Bc Leaf Learning The learning about ecosystems and forests programme is operated in a thematic manner. the programme and the themes are aligned with the three pillars of education for sustainable development (economy, education and society). This activity prompts young people to explore forest and woodlands set tales. it then challenges them to visit a local forest or woodlands, absorb the ambience and gather inspiration, before producing their very own forest and woodlands set tales. Leaf aims to raise awareness of all forest based ecosystems and this includes those of mangroves which provide such a rich habitat for marine life as well as protecting the coasts of several countries. The learning about ecosystems and forests (leaf) programme is currently being implemented in 28 countries with more than 694,600 students and 20,700 teachers involved.

Leaf Learning About Forest Leaf aims to raise awareness of all forest based ecosystems and this includes those of mangroves which provide such a rich habitat for marine life as well as protecting the coasts of several countries. The learning about ecosystems and forests (leaf) programme is currently being implemented in 28 countries with more than 694,600 students and 20,700 teachers involved. The following leaf educational materials have been developed and tested by partners and leaf national operators. lesson plans have been divided into the 6 leaf themes: biodiversity, climate, water, products, community and innovation. The learning about forests (leaf) program advocates for outdoor learning and hands on experiences, allowing students to connect with nature and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world. The learning about forests (leaf) program addresses the growing disconnect between children and nature due to urbanization and digital experiences. The learning about ecosystems and forests (leaf) programme is designed for colleges and schools and encourages environmental education through awareness raising among teachers, soon to be teachers, students, and the wider community.
