Joining Gone Wrong R Blender
Joining Gone Wrong R Blender I am trying to merge three objects into one object in blender 4.3 (i am working on a person wearing a jacket, i am trying to merge all the parts of the zipper into one), however when i press ctrl j part of the zipper disappears. To clarify: when you joined those two meshes into one object, the top most one had its normals flipped; ie. it turned inside out. this is why one seems to sculpt inwards and the other outwards. the fix is to go into edit mode, select all, alt n recalculate outside, which will ensure all the faces of the model point in the right direction.
Rigging Gone Wrong Help R Blender You're using some sort of instancing on the "child" objects that you're joining into the "parent" object. these settings aren't carried over because there is no way for blender to carry them. Joining two objects or more can break some modifiers, textures, or transformations : let's see how to avoid that 00:00 joining : possible issues more. What i am trying and failing to do is to join the cubes, and then use the cylinder to bore a hole most of the way through. so i select the two cubes, do a control j for a join, and it seems normal. i grab that guy and drag it around, and i'm getting what is expected. Need help! i have a model and when i am joining the objects together the body will become blue. i checked online they say you need to name your uv maps the same but they are also the materials are different. so does any of you knows the answer? (new to blender).

No activity for more than a week. as per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed. thanks again for the report. if the problem persists please open a new report with the required information. Joining grease pencil objects in object mode causes many issues, including loss of adjustments, offsets, duplicated layers, and crashes. exact steps for others to reproduce the error. I had attempted to join two very simple meshes (via selection and ctrl j) and suffered a crash. to be clear, blender wasn't "frozen" nor was it processing slowly the blender application (version 3.4) literally just closes. Is there way to fix this glitch when joining objects? looks like one of the objects has flipped normals. you can check this in the viewport by displaying the face orientation.
