John Scott The Martin House Built for potters bruce and estelle martin in 1971, this is my family home. the house was designed when the martin’s had three teenage sons and is divided into two “sides”, one for the adults, the other for the boys. “if you’re born and bred in hawke’s bay, like me, you’ve most likely heard about the martin house by john scott. i’ve always known it was there, but it wasn’t until recently that i had the pleasure of visiting this iconic home.
