Dignity Kitchen Project Dignity Hk Dignity kitchen is a social enterprise serving singaporean street food in hong kong’s bustling kowloon neighbourhood of mong kok. what sets it apart are its remote controlled robots. Last year the ura invited and facilitated project dignity to set up dignity kitchen in hong kong with an aim to assist local disadvantaged groups on career development through bringing to the city an innovative social enterprise model, in the hope that it can take root in the yau ma tei and mong kok (yau mong) districts. Besides working at dignity kitchen, we have placed our graduates in jobs at hyatt shatin, sheraton at four points and cafes in hong kong. each course takes up to 8 weeks covering culinary skills, safety & hygiene practices and customer engagement and costs up to $20,000 for each trainee.

Set up by singaporean engineer and entrepreneur koh seng choon under “project dignity”, the restaurant has hired dozens of physically and mentally disabled staff since opening in january 2020. Koh seng choon opened dignity kitchen in 2019 in mong kok, an operational hawker centre employing disabled people to cook singaporean food for diners. Rather than limiting employment opportunities, the restaurant actively seeks to hire those with intellectual, physical, and other disabilities, providing comprehensive training and personalized support.
