Jasteca Safaas

Jasteca Safaas Safaas was established in the year 1990 on a proposal made by jasteca during the aots world convention held in thailand. the objective was to establish regional federation in the developing world such as latin america, africa, europe and china. We, the japan sri lanka technical & cultural association, (jasteca) are the sole alumni association of the association for overseas technical cooperation and sustainable partnerships (aots), japan in sri lanka. our association is formed of returned trainees from scholarship programs offered by aots.

Our association is formed of returned trainees from scholarship programs offered by aots. thus, the returned, enlightened trainees are eligible to become members of japan sri lanka technical & cultural association (jasteca). Safaas member countries include india, pakistan, bangladesh, nepal, iran and sri lanka. jasetca was also accorded the honour of hosting the 12th safaas international convention in 2017 in sri lanka where over 300 delegates from the member countries and japan will participate. Honored to attend the 14th safaas convention held in the vibrant city of kathmandu, nepal!.

The executive committee and the membership of jasteca consists of returned trainees of aots scholarship programs, who have volunteered their services to coordinate scholarship activities and also to disseminate the knowledge and expertise gained in japan to other sri lankans. Mr. mangala samarajeewa, president jasteca presented the activities of jasteca during the year 2024 25 where the association has made a significant progress in the areas of trainings, relationship with aots japan and other aots alumni associations in the region, safaas, 5s awards, etc. With a view to promoting japanese techniques of management and work ethics, jasteca organises and conducts national competitions in 5s, kaizen and corporate social responsibility (csr) culminating in the annual "jasteca awards".
