The #isurvivedebola campaign was developed to educate the public about the ebola virus. it also took on the task of reducing stigma and promoting reintegration, shifting the local and international narrative from fear and despair to resilience and hope.

Donate To Help Save Lives Donate Now Rising impact launched the #isurvivedebola campaign to amplify the voices of survivors as trusted community role models. by sharing their experiences of resilience, recovery, and courage, survivors helped dispel stigma, rebuild trust, and promote critical behaviors to curb the virus’s spread. The campaign is providing survivors who are sharing their stories with a smartphone installed with the #isurvivedebola app. the smartphones and the app were provided and developed with support from the charity fundraising website globalgiving. With active distribution of campaign products across radio, print, digital, and video platforms in west africa and beyond, the #isurvivedebola campaign is also continuing to add stories of hope and resilience to the world’s focus on the ebola outbreak. Our partner pci media impact has been using the power of stories to stop the spread of ebola, and they've been working on a series of #isurvivedebola videos, in collaboration with our friends at tackleebola, the paul g. allen family foundation, vulcan productions, and unicef.
