Issues Launching Battlenet After Update R Steamdeck Basically, above launch option is fixing exactly your issue without it, by some error, the app is in "read only" mode. you therefore use the above to give it "write" permission so it can proceed with signing you in. I've been using battle to play starcraft 2 and warcraft 3 since i got a steam deck like 2 years ago, however, recently it has stopped working. i can launch it but it hangs forever and never loads my games library, saying that the client cannot update. has anyone else experienced this? i've tried a fresh install.

I play wow on the deck quite often and after today’s new patch i went to login. it wouldn’t patch warcraft and kept giving me this error in battle blzbntagt00000840. Open firefox or any browser. download battle windows installer battle setup.exe from the battle . in steam, click games and add the installer as a non steam game. navigate to home deck downloads . change file type to all files and select battle setup.exe and add to programs. I had an issue with my battle launcher about a week ago where it was incredibly slow to load. as in, it took either 5ish minutes to load or otherwise would crash. I get it every so often when launching d4, but you can just close it and the game is running behind it. not sure what's going on, but it doesn't actually impact anything. We're probably going to wait for a new battle launcher update or maybe a proton update and hope it gets fixed. i'll try to find a way to rollback the update, if so i'll update this post with the instructions on how to.
