We will award the iris prize funding grants annually to three outstanding young people who best embody the spirit of the iris project; championing the protection and restoration of nature, and the rights of those who defend it. the iris prize was established in memory of iris goldsmith.
Iris Awards Iris Prize The iris prize is an international lgbtq film prize and festival open to films by, for, about or of interest to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or intersex audiences, and which must have been completed within two years of the prize deadline. The iris prize is the largest short film prize in the world, with the winner receiving £40,000 to make their next short film. the iris prize offers a very rare opportunity to develop a new lgbtq short film, fully funded and benefiting from the best support, equipment, and crew the uk has to offer. The winners have been announced for the fourth instalment of the iris prize an international award that celebrates and funds young environmental stewards dedicated to catalysing climate action within their communities, and safeguarding the future of our planet’s ecosystems. Each year, we award nine prizes to outstanding individuals or groups who best embody the spirit of the iris project – championing the protection and restoration of nature and the rights of those who defend it – three winners and six runners up. The iris project awards three grants each year: us$5,000 for ages 14 24 awarded for a new idea; us$10 thousand for ages 16 24 awarded for an existing project; us$15 thousand for ages 16 24 awarded for an established project. The relationship between iris and nature continues to strengthen through the prize and the iris project – and it’s thanks to iris others can also enjoy this deep relationships with nature. thank you iris! the deadline for applications is 15 april.
