Introduction Microbiome Center We develop natural fermentation based materials by discovering microbiome dynamics and effective ingredients. research on skin efficacy by discovering the active ingredients of naturally fermented materials in collaboration with research institutes located in hokkaido. Because the microbiome is a new area of work for most practitioners, the microbiome center offers a structured introductory program for all doctors, aimed at direct practicing with experiential learning.
Introduction Microbiome Center This course is designed to introduce students to host associated microbial communities (specifically human and animal hosts) and their roles in host health and disease. we will focus heavily on the gut microbiome and will explore the interactions between host and microbes. Microbial cells on or in the human body, not just in the gut but elsewhere as well, outnumber human cells 10 to 1. scientists are only just beginning to understand what is collectively known as the human microbiome—what it is, what it does, and how it benefits human health. This area poses an exciting target for inquiry as new tools are developed to better determine the microbiome and to fully assess the various geographic microbiota of humans (nasal, intestinal, skin, and others). please see chapter 21 for a more in depth discussion on the microbiome.
