As such, applying tried and true learning activities, such as case conferences, to interprofessional (ip) training may be an effective teaching method. although studies describing institution specific ipe activities are readily available, sustainability and replicability remain challenging. The exercise was a single ipe case based learning in which students representing three health disciplines described and reflected the specific teamwork and communication skills needed to work effectively on an interprofessional health care team. This included a daily ward round, contribution to weekly case plan meetings and bedside tutorials, with a view to selecting a patient for the ip case presentation.
