When grounded in intersectionality, intercultural education provides an ideal framework for fostering an inclusive transformation of education, actively engaging with the ‘inter’, facilitating dialogue while challenging discriminatory structures. Intercultural learning encourages the use of diverse sources of information, to learn about the perspectives of diverse groups in their own voices, in order to get a more nuanced understanding of reality and broader viewpoints. Based on the assumption that globalization should not imply homogenization, it is important for education to promote dialogue and intercultural understanding.
