Innovative Learning Spaces The Process
Innovative Learning Spaces Venture Academy Based on an empirical case study, this chapter puts forward the thesis that in order for an innovative learning environment (ile) to work as intended, three things must be aligned: teaching. The purpose of this research was to explore innovative learning spaces in three different school contexts and determine their impact on the teaching and learning process.
Innovative Learning Spaces Architectureau The study, employing a field based qualitative approach, describes six types of indoor and outdoor physical learning spaces and includes observations in 12 lessons in grades 3–6 in elementary schools in israel in the south, north and center of israel. In a comparative case study, the design and building process is examined in two schools with innovative learning environments in order to further the understanding of how alignment can be created between the school building, its users, and its educational practices. The study provides an in depth understanding of the relationships that exist between the applications of several pedagogical practices and discipline that are important for development of similar innovative learning space initiatives regionally and beyond. Best practices for creating an innovative learning space in a university setting planning for classrooms in the round requires stakeholder involvement every step of the way.

Learning tasks were characterized by low cognitive complexity. this study provides a new methodology for investigating teaching and learning processes in innovative learning spaces. The challenge for designers of tomorrow’s learn ing spaces is to create spaces that allow learners to be co creators of the learning process, and that foster innovation within students even as they provide a space for learning the process of innovation.
