Initiatives Ucla 100 Ucla is celebrating their 100th year, check out the exciting initiatives that ucla has to offer around the centennial. Throughout the year, ucla also will embark on four initiatives exclusive to the centennial year that are designed to expand public access to ucla’s scholarly resources and build upon ucla’s longstanding commitment of service to the community.

Ciclavia Celebrates Ucla 100 Launched in 2022, bruin business 100 is an award winning program that recognizes exceptional ucla alumni entrepreneurs. these alumni are founders, owners and visionaries in business who have inspired innovation and expanded the bruin network. From 2019 to 2020, more than eighty community events and activities commemorated and celebrated 100 years of ucla and its relationship with the great city of los angeles. According to a 2020 study by the ucla california center for sustainable communities, historically disadvantaged communities in los angeles county are at risk of getting left behind in the transition to lower carbon energy sources (link is external) and energy efficient technologies. Ucla is not only one of the world’s greatest research universities, it is an engine of social mobility and progress. beginning in the fall of 2019, a series of year long centennial initiatives will continue to expand our commitment to service and equity.
