Infinite Combo Issues Bug R Magicarena
Infinite Combo Issues Bug R Magicarena I wait for the combo, then notice that red message. i frantically started clicking my cards, checking the boards started, but as soon as the rope went down, it conceded the match. my question is, why does the opponents combo take my rope away? i was ready to play until timer or being decked. Need to fix this bug where infinite loop combo players win automatically by locking you for doing anything and you lose from inactivity while the combo for 15 minutes.
Arena Infinite Combo R Magicarena Combo has been a staple of magic the gathering as a whole and i think it would be a problem if it got killed for an entire section of the game just because you couldn’t get enough clicks in fast enough to finish the loop. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to support enough actions to cover the simple popular combos; that'd already be a huge improvement. the halting problem is never a real problem. Anyone who's been playing the format for a while should be used to seeing infinite combos and the fact that arena unfortunately doesn't allow us to fast forward them like we would in paper. I've ran into the exact same issue with a mill combo deck. the loop is tedious to click through, so each iteration takes a while, which then leaves me with not enough time to do it often enough.

We all know that "infinite" combos are not infinite at all, and even worst in arena. in arena we have to click for every single action to happen. as far as i know, in paper we can just tell a number in a "infinite" scenario (like: two billion). Your opponent might mis sequence their combo, they might get cocky and end turn with lethal on the board, or any other number of mistakes that could hand you a win. Yeah, being on the receiving end of an infinite combo is never fun, but part of the goal of mtg is that there are lots of unexpected tricks a player can find to do impossible things.
