New Data Shows That A Focus On Patient Safety Is More Important Than Ever Large bodies of evidence exist for strategies to improve safety and reduce harm. however, it is not clear which patient safety issues are being addressed globally, and which factors are the most (or least) important contributors to patient safety improvements. In this article, we explore how health care can be transformed by integrating key components of quality and safety, such as robust data driven decision making, staff engagement, patient centered care models, and continuous education, drawing on insights from experiences at our organization.

Preventing avoidable harm is more than a regulatory requirement – it’s a promise that builds public trust. when medical errors go unaddressed, patients face longer recoveries, higher costs and growing doubt in a health system designed to heal.
