Our kids area ensures a fun festival experience for the youngest members of our nmf family. past activities have included parades, games, workshops, face painting, puppet making, youth yoga, and more. At its core, nelsonville music fest is family friendly, but not overwhelmingly so; all three days include a large, fully equipped area that keeps kids engaged while still involving them in the music, like this daily piñata lineup and performances by the local stuart’s opera house’s afterschool music program. We take great pride in being a family friendly festival, offering an incredible kids’ area full of arts and crafts, dancing, games, and other activities, as well as a quiet camping area for families and those who need a little more peace and quiet. Designed to be family friendly, the festival also features a large kids’ area with activities all weekend long and free admission for children 12 and under. Although the heat was intense, festival attendees could be seen setting up their camp chairs in the shady areas. the entire vibe of the festival was chill and family friendly, with all kids under age 12 gaining free admission to the festival.
