First Book Haul These books were in genres that were outside my comfort zone and also just made me feel uncomfortable! that said, i think they were both great reads. in this video i share both books. This list is specifically curated to push readers out of their comfort zones. to read genres they usually wouldn't gravitate towards and to read stories of marginalised communities. if you read fantasy, try horror. only fiction? try some non fiction. I was looking for that extra nudge to try new authors and genres outside my comfort zone. although i’m still on this discovery journey, i’ve learned some simple steps along the way that can help anyone begin exploring different kinds of books. I really enjoy broadening my horizons and reading books outside of my comfort zone. it doesn’t always work out, but there have definitely been a few times where i was pleasantly surprised by how much i enjoyed a book i wasn’t expecting to. today, i thought i’d talk about some of those books.
