Humble Quilts 2016 This was a quilt i made this past summer in sujata's class during the sisters quilt show. i always contemplated in the back of my mind that i may use it as a baby quilt. What a difference a day makes! january 25, 2022 . quilts!.
Humble Quilts 2016 I copied the “old italian block” pattern from an antique quilt sold on ebay last year, and i have since realized this is a pretty popular pattern, with lots of examples and instructions online for various methods of construction. This quilt is one of my most pinned quilts on pinterest! this one was called faithful. you started with any block you wanted for the center so they all ended up quite different. this one was called harmony and it was a fun way to use up a bunch of scraps. I hope those of you who were fans of the original quilt top will not be disappointed that i ended up changing it a bit. in the process of pressing the top to prep for quilting, i realized it was never going to be flat enough to stitch. Lee from two thimbles quilt shop sent me this quilt her mom made years ago to give out. i brought it with me on every single outing looking for the right person with a baby. Doll quilt made by debbie dodge debbie certainly nailed the brief on this one. i love the pink feature fabric and just look at that cute basket in the corner, it really makes the little quilt so special.
