We will emphasize on laying down strong drawing foundations and appreciate pleasing color palettes. through this class, you will learn how to create clear and confident lines, rather than focusing on embellishments like texture and fancy brushes. 1.) start with your sketch. i didn’t go detailed on the hair since i’m not putting any details or lines in them. the only things i need to do is separate the “top” part of the hair (the bangs?), with the “back” part (ponytail in this case). You can start out with just making the opacity of your lineart lower, say, 20%! another fun thing to try out is to make the lineart light gray and then set it to multiply it will blend in nicely with whatever color is behind it. In any case, it’s much easier to take a sketch and make it lineless if you already have experience working linelessly in the first place, so my advice would be to practice drawing without a sketch at all and focusing just on defining shapes and edges through value contrast.
