House makes a lot of sexist, racist and homophobic jokes, but he doesn't do it because he thinks these things make someone lesser. he doesn't have a worse opinion of someone based on such things. Flawless instincts and unconventional thinking help earn house great respect, despite his brutal honesty and antisocial tendencies. i can handle the dated social commentary house spews, but the misogyny… i’m watching the episode on season 1 is interviewing to replace cameron and holy shit. In today's environment, does anyone else flinch a little when you hear something house says that's overtly racist or misogynistic? some of the lines, particularly geared towards foreman, aren't aging well . though to be fair, he makes jokes about taub being jewish, and thirteen being bisexual. I watched all 8 seasons of house a number of years ago, and didn't really think too much of some of the storylines at the time. recently though, my girlfriend and i have been rewatching the series, and realised that the show has some serious problems with sexism that haven't aged well in 2020.
