Home Dean S Scholars Dean’s scholars is the first step towards a successful career in the sciences for many students. the dean’s scholars honors program, established in 1983, is the oldest honors program in the college of natural sciences at the university of texas at austin. Dean’s scholars is a four year honors degree program for highly motivated and talented students with a demonstrated interest in scientific research. students earn a bachelors of science honors degree in any of the majors offered by the college of natural sciences.

Home Dean S Scholars Dean’s scholars take classes together, attend special dinners hosted by faculty members, hear guest speakers during weekly friday lunches and take weekend field trips to places such as the mcdonald observatory and the marine science institute in port aransas, texas. The dean’s scholar in clinical research program provides promising early career faculty with financial resources, career guidance, research training, and protected research time to facilitate their development as successful clinical physician scientists. For your first year, you’ll take the dean’s scholars first year seminar. for your second year and beyond, you’ll select from the other cns honors seminars, where you learn from expert faculty across a variety of ut disciplines.
