Home Latitudes Network Timeline of the development of the latitudes network. the idea of latitudes started back in 2013 at the cochrane methods symposium ‘doug altman’, dedicated to the contributions of professor doug altman to evidence synthesis, held after the 2013 cochrane colloquium in quebec city, canada. The idea for the latitudes network begun in 2013 when we developed an outline proposal for a website and the acronym ‘latitudes’. the acronym intentionally aligns with that of the equator network, as both intend to disseminate best methods and practice for evidence synthesis.

Home Latitudes Network The latitudes network was launched at the cochrane colloquium 2023 in london, with the aim of benefiting the wider research synthesis community. please share the website ( latitudes network.org ) with your colleagues and students. To introduce the latitudes network, a library of assessment tools and instruments used to assess data validity in evidence syntheses. we are establishing latitudes to increase the robustness of evidence syntheses by improving the process of validity (rob quality) assessment. We have established the latitudes network to assist researchers in identifying the most appropriate tool to use in their evidence synthesis and to support researchers using these tools. Latitudes network will offer an opportunity to open doors into diverse climates, both real and virtual, for students and staff to engage in inter disciplinary design research and learning by working across different latitudes and climatic regions.
