Hidden Geometry Shows Technical Problems Sketchup Community Hidden geometry shows up as dashed lines (not as shading) in the pdf, but not in the layout or sketchup. anyone know what’s up here, or if there’s a workaround? a similar piece i created at another time exported just fine. i don’t see any hidden geometry in your pdf. Revealing hidden geometry shows some additional lines which are not part of my modelling workflow and must be the thing that is stopping the push tool from working.

This happens due to hidden geometry or scattered, unwanted elements far from your model. to fix this, look for unnecessary geometry, like stray edges or invisible objects, that may cause visibility issues. I hide my right wall but sketchup suddenly closed out. now i can’t get my wall back as a solid surface. it keeps saying “your recent operation has caused visible geometry to merge with existing geometry that is hidden.” it won’t let me unhide the wall though. I have a model with geometry that shows up as hidden but it won’t ‘unhide’ ‘all’. are you sure these edges aren’t softened smoothed? those represent the boundaries of the actual facets that make up a contoured surface and don’t respond to unhide but rather to unsoften.
