The bibliometric and thematic analysis conducted in this study provides a detailed overview of the educational response offered to families with children with special educational needs (sen) during the covid 19 pandemic. We found that covid 19 and the digitalization of schooling had severe impacts on the physical and mental health of children with special needs and their parents caregivers. Children with send who continued to attend school during periods of national lockdown generally had a more positive experience than when schools are open to all pupils. lessons can be learned from this regarding strategies that can be implemented to best support children with send.
