Things were going well for moses as he led the people out of egypt. god called him to mount horeb to receive the ten commandments. while he was there, the people fell away from god by returning to the ways of egypt by building and worshiping a golden calf under aaron’s watch. Even though you have been stif necked, god is present in your life and in you because we have a mediator better than moses, we have the lord jesus christ who has turned aside from us the wrath of god and brought us into god’s presence for our joy and peace. Moses wanted to know god, to feel his presence, and observe his glory. why was this moses’ priority over material blessing from god for the israelite people? what does it look like in your life right now to desire god’s relationship, presence, and glory?.
