Utah public radio has teamed up with more than a dozen utah organizations for the great salt lake collaborative, a group that has come together to share multimedia stories and rigorous reports about the lake and ways to protect this critical body of water before it's too late.

The great salt lake collaborative (gslc) is a newly formed organization, currently composed of twelve newsrooms and six community organizations across utah. Collaborative newsrooms report on solutions as part of their regular coverage, including how farmers, homeowners, data centers and mining companies can save water. collaborative newsrooms have also analyzed why other solutions won’t work, such as a pipeline from the ocean and tree thinning.
