Graph Mapper Grasshopper 6 Conic Grasshopper Mcneel Forum I’m struggling to understand how to manage some parameters in the graph mapper. despite my attempts to create an adaptive infill in a closed curve, i am unable to manage the maximum and minimum distances between the segments generated (img 1). The graph mapper works this way: whatever value you input, it will be read on the x axis (the lower side of the component) and mapped using the curve onto the y axis (the left side of the component).

Any suggestions on how i could replace my graph mappers with attractor points for remapping values because at the moment they give relatively random outputs and the overall shape of the “tower” is not driven by direct correlations between geometry and parameters. Hi, i’m a beginner with grasshopper and i’m having an issue with the graph mapper. does anyone know why i’m getting this weird closed line instead of a continuous wavy line?. My reply to dharmesh below tells how i do this for shapes like this: the answer is actually fairly simple, but it didn’t occur to me until i tried (and failed) with other methods. the way to do it is to generate 2 closed curves: one for the outside shape, and one for the inside shape.

For grasshopper 2, i would have expected the graph mapper to automatically detect the bounds and auto adjust, so it would be a speedier workflow (perhaps even quick settings for inverting the default graphs, so you don’t have to add reverse nodes as well). Hello all, i was wondering if there was an alternative to graph mapper which provides the same overall results but is more precise numbers as the ones shown in the panel are almost accurate but not entirely. Adds 5 new graphs to the native graph mapper and provides a new graph mapper component with input domains. i have a question about a graph mapper, here ,i don’t see any apparence of the button ‘‘arc’’ in the panel ‘‘graph type’’ could you enlight me please? have a nice day. I’m working on a surface deformation definition in grasshopper using multiple attractor points and a graph mapper, and i’m having trouble understanding how to properly combine the influence of multiple attractors.
