Philippians 1 1 11 Partners In The Gospel Gosford Presbyterian Church Although the philippians have struggles and challenges that we will explore over the course of this sermon series, we begin in philippians 1:1–11 with a peek into the way paul approaches the people, partnerships, and prayer of his ministry. I thank my god every time i remember you. in all my prayers for all of you, i always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of christ jesus.

Partners In The Gospel Philippians 1 1 11 In this sermon, we explore how the gospel creates deep partnership among believers, why unity matters for the mission of the church, and how god’s faithfulness gives us confidence to sacrifice. In philippians, christ jesus is not only the model for the mind set and pathway for messianic citizenship (2:5–11), but also the very resource and foundation for the individual and the community’s depth of emotional solidarity and consolation. Intense suffering in a world hostile to the gospel and a bitter dispute between leaders in the church may have called into question the survival of their partnership in the gospel.”. We seek to pray with joy as did paul for our partners in the gospel that their love, informed by knowledge of god’s will revealed in his word, might result in god being glorified.

We seek to pray with joy as did paul for our partners in the gospel that their love, informed by knowledge of god’s will revealed in his word, might result in god being glorified. Here in these opening verses we see that paul addresses the philippian church, who he considered his partners in the gospel, by telling them about his partnership with timothy: “paul and timothy, servants of christ jesus”. Paul is recognizing here that he didn't perform his ministry alone. he had many partners, including the philippians, who made it humanly possible to survive and do what the lord had called him to do. and what had the lord saved him to do? the same thing that all christians are called to do. The jats have been predominantly muslim since the 11th century. pray for workers to live among the jat, embodying the teachings of jesus and sharing the hope of the gospel. As we reflect upon reforming church, what does it look like to be partners in the gospel? what things hinder us from becoming joyful partners in the gospel, do you think?.
