Gnolls Bugbears Gnolls were a humanoid race that most closely resembled human hyena hybrids within faerûn. they were carnivorous humanoids, known for their savage culture and warlike ways. After last week's post on bugbears, which are a uniquely d&d monstrous humanoid, i knew i'd have to turn to gnolls this week, as they, too, are unique to the game.

Gnolls Bugbears Yes and to add on there’s a faction of gnolls called the znir pact that are staunchly opposed to demons and their corruption. in their settlements they will gather a pile of broken stones to symbolize the shattered demon idols of their history. This is a guide to the rampaging hyena humanoids known as gnolls. i tried to avoid overlapping info with my guide to yeenoghu, who is a gnoll demon lord. i've always liked gnolls. they're a bit scary, they look cool, and they're a neat alternative to orcs and goblins. i haven't really seen them used in interesting ways, though. In 1st edition, the five tribal races of evil humanoid form a distinct game mechanical hierarchy, running from kobolds to gnolls. bugbears are essentially the same idea continued one step beyond the gnolls. Gnolls are also most likely to get along with orcs, hobgoblins, bugbears, ogres, and trolls, provided they are all on about equal footing strength wise. gnolls don’t like attacking one on one or even in small numbers, much preferring to overwhelm their enemies with massive numbers and horde tactics.
