In order to promote research on long range and large scale iris recognition systems, we are pleased to release to the public domain casia iris image database v4.0 (or casia irisv4 for short). This project leverages state of the art computer vision and machine learning techniques to provide accurate and efficient iris recognition system. iris recognition is a powerful biometric technology that identifies individuals based on the unique patterns within the iris of the eye. Fourth, we review open source resources and tools in deep learning techniques for iris recognition. finally, we highlight the technical challenges, emerging research trends, and outlook for the future of deep learning in iris recognition. This innovative project endeavors to craft a robust iris recognition system primed for diverse applications, including access control, security systems, and personal identification. The primary objective is implementing an robust and real time iris recognition system. to test the performance of the system, a database of 756 greyscale eye images created by the chinese academy of sciences – institute of automation (casia) is used.
