Github Groussea Opyflow Opyflow Python Package For Optical Flow
About Opyflow This package has been developed in the course of my phd at epfl to study turbulent flows over rough permeable beds. outputs are visible in the manuscript as well as in this video where paraview animations have been rendered thanks to opyf outputs. It computes the optical flow for all the points in the frame. it is based on gunner farneback’s algorithm which is explained in two frame motion estimation based on polynomial expansion. For opencv’s implementation, it computes the magnitude and direction of optical flow from a 2 channel array of flow vectors (dx dt,dy dt), the optical flow problem.
