Github Evolutionsim Evolution Simulation Watch little blob creatures evolve under natural selection! inspired by primer’s “simulating natural selection” video, i decided to build an interactive version you can play with in a web browser!. Simulating artificial cells, trying to achieve true multicellularity from single celled life, using darwinian evolution and emergent behaviors! shooting for my cambrian explosion moment, still far away but never felt this close!. Lyfe is a project that simulates little blobs in an environment filled with nutrients. once a blob has eaten enough, it will duplicate. the clone will have slightly different stats, meaning that over time, large changes will occur. We hope you enjoy this evolution simulator. run the simulation several times to see if you your evolved life can live over 200,000 turns, and look at the different dna algorithms that form.

The life engine is a virtual ecosystem that allows organisms to reproduce, compete, and evolve. each organism is made up of different colored cells. hover over each color to learn what it does. This architecture is enough to create simple functional artificial life forms in a virtual world. the simulation can be run with a pre trained neural network to demonstrate the proof of concept or evolving the bots from scratch based on random neural networks.
