Ggaf Emerging Artist Pensacola artist joyce leggett has been selected as the 2024 great gulfcoast arts festival emerging artist. she uses oil or acrylic paint to create visual backdrops. Live musicians hit the right notes from the main stage with sounds ranging from bluegrass to cajun and blues to jazz and classical. performing companies, dance schools, community groups, and area folk groups have their time to shine.
Ggaf Emerging Artist Each year, one of the highlights of the event is the invited international artist. this year’s special guest artist, whose home is in spain, has a strong connection to pensacola. Selection does not guarantee acceptance into the 2025 ggaf show: you would need to apply; however, the $40 jurying fee will be waived if you participate in the 2024 show. The 2023 great gulfcoast arts festival will feature the work of emerging artist ruta janiulis, a native of lithuania who now lives in niceville. her creations, reflecting an exaggerated form of realism, are primarily large scale oil paintings of people and architecture. The three day, juried art show draws more than 200 of the nation's best painters, potters, sculptors, jewelers, graphic artists, craftsmen and other artists. the festival is ranked #9 in the nation by sunshine artist magazine.
