Geo Sprawl Medium Geo sprawl is committed to expand one’s passion for geography. unlike urban sprawl, geo sprawl has no limits and is always ready to feed those curious brains. Monitoring and evaluating urban sprawl in a region is crucial for controlling drastic environmental changes. integrated remote sensing (rs) and geographic information system (gis) technologies.

The Sprawl Medium Firstly, the paper tries to understand the 6 different dimensions of urban sprawl as given by oecd environment policy committee (oecd, 2018) and assess the extent of urban sprawl in the context of a medium sized city of bhubaneswar. This research investigates the phenomenon of urban sprawl in a medium sized metropolitan area, specifically bandar lampung. it identifies the primary characteristics of urban sprawl and its impact on suburban development. In order to offer an assessment of these possible effects, we propose a new urban sprawl index to measure the degree of dispersion concentration of settlements in the medium sized urban area of a spanish city (santander, cantabria). In this context, the present study focuses on the geospatial measurement of urban sprawl in four rapidly expanding indian medium sized cities located in diverse physiographic regions, such as lucknow urban agglomeration (ua), bhubaneswar ua, raipur ua, and dehradun ua.

As urban centres sprawls, the heat island effect expands, both in larger geographic extent and in intensity. this is especially true if the pattern of development features extensive tree cutting and road construction. In conclusion, multi temporal satellite imagery provides a powerful means of analyzing urban sprawl and understanding its spatial and environmental implications. by capturing the patterns and pace of urban growth, remote sensing supports data driven urban planning and management. It identifies the primary characteristics of urban sprawl and its impact on suburban development. the goal is to pinpoint the symptoms of urban sprawl through its spatial patterns, which may form systemically or sporadically, and predict their occurrence. Urban sprawl mapping refers to the process of analyzing and visually representing the expansion and growth of urban areas into previously undeveloped or rural land.
