Generlink Transfer Switch Generlink transfer switches work with portable generators from manufactures like firman, duromax, generac, champion, and many more. view our compatibility guide [link to guide] for a list of compatible generators. Generlink (behind the meter transfer switches) do not switch the neutral. when used with a gas generator (as shown) you have to modify the generator to remove the bond between the neutral and ground.
Generlink Transfer Switch If you are upgrading your service, now is a great time to do a transfer switch, either manual or automatic, even if you aren’t buying the generator yet. you have it all apart, why not?. I am curious why you would need a transfer switch if you have a breaker interlock in place. down here, at least where i live, the mains interlock is considered all that's necessary. I installed a transfer switch in my last home and it was a little bit of work, plus you have to choose which circuits you want to run. with the generlink you can turn on the breakers to where you want power. 2022 f150 king ranch 4x4 eco boost agate black with chrome package, built nov 2021. a product that just makes sense. likely won't work with the powerboost though due to its native gfi functionality.

I asked this question to generlink support, so far has not received an answer. note that in their generator compatibility list, it has generators with both bonded and floating neutral, no hint of a selective floating neutral genny only. Since there is no mechanical switch to change from generator cord to utility power, there has to be a relay or similar device to do the switching. apparently, something in that area fails and you can no longer get power from the utility. I have been researching portable generators and install hardware for hooking up to the house. anyone using a generlink? if not what transfer switch are you using? to me the generlink looks like the simplest easiest to use but more expensive option. I install the generlink and cut the male cord off of the generator cord and install a generator female. that provides a cord from the generlink to the inlet on the house.
