Freecad For Makers Workshopshed Cad is a difficult topic to cover in book form as it is very visual. but jo handles this well with many screenshots and a few photos of finished projects. the book explains how to use the different groups of tools (workbenches) via worked examples to create parts of increasing complexity. Installation automatic (recommended) install using the builtin freecad addon manager. in freecad, go to the tools > addon manager dropdown menu and search for maker workbench.
Freecad For Makers Workshopshed I recently started using freecad on some of my projects and realized that many of the tutorials out there, while great in content, weren't what i needed to get up and running to use it on my diy and woodworking projects. Maker is a workbench for freecad that allows the modification of parametric models that includes and simplify the assembly and composition. it also provides a library of functions with which to generate new parametric models to be included in the workbench. After install, restart freecad. "makerworkbench" should now show up in the workbench dropdown list.
