Second Coming Of Christ Today's sermon ends our series on what we believe as it looks at the second coming of jesus christ. in this sermon we look at jesus return, along with the rapture. Though not stressed much today, the idea of the second coming of jesus occurs frequently in the new testament. it is also called the “day of the lord” and the “parousia”, which means the “presence” or “arrival” of someone. Perhaps the sweetest promise comes in his final words: “behold, i am coming soon, and my reward is with me” (revelation 22:12). for believers, this means comfort, reunion, and a forever home.
