For Faculty Computational Precision Health The cph agg establishes and administers the phd in computational precision health (joint between uc berkeley and ucsf) and the designated emphasis (de) in computational precision health (distinct des administered by each campus). Our intellectual community, including more than 50 faculty from multiple disciplines, is embedded within clinical and public health practice settings that reflect the diversity of the san francisco bay area and beyond.
Home Computational Precision Health Faculty in computational precision health come from both campuses and multiple disciplines. computational precision health is unique in the university of california system in having a joint augmented graduate group that functions as a bi campus department. Ongoing projects at the center include open health natural language processing, cohort identification and computational phenotyping, ehr based predictive modeling, real world data and learning precision medicine for rare disease, mental health, and cancer. Cph faculty are members of the joint augmented graduate group in computational precision health. there are currently more than 80 faculty members: five with primary appointment in cph, and others from multiple departments across ucsf and uc berkeley. We develop and re purpose state of the art computational algorithms for big and heterogenous biomedical data such as multi modal high throughput screening data, multi omics data, single cell genomics data, and medical imaging data. Cph faculty are experts at novel approaches to evaluation design, including use of new causal inference methods to evaluate real world evidence, and are leaders in regulatory science and policy for ai ml and digital health.
