First Scicomm 101 Workshop Idigbio During lunch, participants got an example of a graduate student’s personal scicomm journey from university of florida phd student, kirsten hecht. following lunch participants learned the basics of how to take a good photo and practiced their smartphone photography throughout the museum. The digitization academy is a reformulation of the professional development offerings from idigbio, packaging these into a set of complementary, recurring courses on high value topics for those creating and using digital data about biodiversity.
